What is Site.link®?

Site.link is an end-to-end solution for alarming, data gathering, and control of remote instrumentation.

Site.link continuously monitors your site for alarm conditions and then takes the appropriate action. An alarm occurs when an instrument begins to operate outside the pre-defined normal range. Possible actions range from simply logging the event to a full emergency shut down of the well.

Site.link continuously gathers data from your site, such as fluid level, temperature, flow, motor draw, turbidity, residual chemical, and on/off status. These readings are relayed through a wireless communications network to our internet host.

Site.link also performs control functions. One of the most popular features of Site.link is the ability to remotely start and stop processes and equipment such as pumps and generators.

Oil and gas production and water treatment are the main industries that benefit from using Site.link. We can also develop customized solutions for other applications.

How do I use it?

As a Site.link customer, you retrieve your site-specific data by logging onto the Site.link application using the User login on this web site. You can access your data using a web browser on any wired or wireless internet-capable device.

Our web server is totally secure, fully redundant, and monitored 24/7. Data is presented in an easy-to-use interface with query, download, and control functions.

What are the benefits?

By gathering data, dispatching alarms, and allowing remote control of field instrumentation, Site.link provides control and cost savings.

  • Get timely and accurate information from your sites.
  • Monitor new sites and stay on top of problems.
  • Reduce downtime.
  • Save on labour and mileage costs to monitor and maintain sites.
  • Prevent spills and environmental clean up costs.
  • Use wireless connectivity to empower your mobile field staff.
How much does it cost?

There are two pricing components for Site.link: hardware and monthly service.

Hardware
A communications panel is required. Three different communications panels are available to serve different sized projects. Generally, the more instruments you want to monitor, the larger the communications panel you will need. Pricing for panels typically ranges from $3500 to $6000.

If you do not already own the instrumentation you wish to monitor (e.g., tank level gauges, flow meters, turbidity meters), you will have to purchase these as well. Our dealers can supply any field instrumentation you require.

Volume discounts apply to both panel and instrumentation puchases.

Monthly service
The Site.link monthly service fee is for data hosting, data presentation, communications, maintenance, and upgrades. It is a flat fee based on the industry, the number of instruments monitored, and how often data is gathered from those instruments. Monthly pricing typically ranges from $80 per month (a few instruments gathering data daily) to $250 per month (a large number of instruments gathering data hourly).

Volume discounts also apply to monthly service fees. A customer spending $500 per month for Site.link will receive a 5% discount. Customers spending more than $500 per month receive a larger discount to a maximum of 22% off their monthly charges.
